Lagoon

Over the Summer Will and I went to Lagoon with my family. We had a blast! It was the perfect day to go because it would sprinkle rain every other hour so we all stayed pretty cool. Will has only gone to Lagoon once before when he was younger so there were a lot of new rides for him to try out. Example: Wicked!!! This ride drops you at an almost 90 degree angle so you think your gonna die but you dont, you just peed your pants a little.

Karen, Mom, Mike, Tyler and Katie just getting off Wicked!

Will is getting ready to go on the Collosus. A classic.

Will didn't go on the Samuri. He refused. The Samuri is one of my favorites, as long as you get an end seat. Oh Yeah!

We ate lunch and dinner in the park. My mom made this yummy greek spinach and pasta salad. That's what's great about Lagoon. Just bring a cooler stuffed with food and snacks and a blanket and you don't have to worry about anyone stealing your stuff.

Me and Will riding on the skii lift to other side of the park. Another classic of Lagoon.

Karen and Mike

Another classic of Lagoon is the super cheesy haunted house. I don't know why, but the haunted house has always smelled like burnt cotten candy that permiates the Lagoon entrance. I remeber that smell as a kid and have always looked forward to it when I go again. I can see the terror in Will's face!

Who doesn't love riding on the ship! Another childhood favorite!

Sammy and Jackson going on one last kiddie ride before the park closes. They had a blast! They loved every single ride and didn't cry once. Boys are so awesome. They are made for adventure!

My all time favorite is the Rocket: Re-entry. This ride gives me butterfly’s just thinking about it! I went on this one 3 times. The Re-entry slowly pulls you up to the top of its 217 foot tower and when you least expect it, it drops you! Oh Yeah!

Katie and Tyler getting ready to go on my favorite ride

We all had so much fun. I can't wait to go on another fun trip with my family. I would have to say that my favorite memory is when Katie, Tyler, Kelly, Will, and I went on Raddle Snake Rappids. This is a water ride which means your gonna get wet but we didn't think we were gonna get that wet so we went for it. The entire time we all tried not to get wet. Katie, Kelly, and I were screaming and Tyler and Will were laughing like crazy! We were all standing up on the ride trying to not get wet and tried to avoid the waterfalls. We were all dripping wet head to toe by the end of the ride. Best memory ever! I wish we had a picture.

These are a few of my favorite things!

As I am loving my summer free of school I've decided to make a list of all of my favorites so far:

1. Reading fun books with Will (we read aloud to each other. Yes we are dorks :) ) Right now we are reading the Fablehaven series and we are loving it!

2. Having picnics in the huge field neer the library

3. Summer movies! We've seen Star Trek and just last night THE TERMINATOR. Oh my they were so good! Im still freiking out a little about Terminator. It was awesome. I did enjoy Star Trek too which I am a little surprised. It had a really good story and it was a very pretty film (picture wise), but maybe thats because we were sitting about 12 inches from the screen! We showed up late so we got the crapy seats on the front row. But I loved it and I would totally see both again! My new favorite actor is Anton Yelchin. He was in both Terminator and Star Trek. He's a little nerdy but he's a great actor.

4. Fun projects! I love being creative. Right now I'm working on a project for April's baby shower. I'm really excited about it and I'll post pics once I give it to April. It has to be a surprise and she might see it on my blog!

5. Games. What can I say, I just love em. Yesterday we played Hand and Foot with Katie and Tyler and Will and I totally killed them! It was Tylers first time playing it so I'll give em a rematch. I'm a sucker for games.

6. Smoothies in the summer, especially the ones from Inta-Juice. Yum...my mouth waters for them

7. Sandwiches. I love sandwiches. Woo for Tom's Deli!

8. Warm summer nights

9. And the top favorite thing of mine is.....No Homework! YAY!

Graduating 2009

My sister KATIE is graduating this year from Desert Hills High. Its crazy that she's graduating, it feels like I just graduated a year ago! She invited me to go with her to get her Senior Pictures done and I'm so glad that I got to go. It was so much fun! It was fun to watch Katie posing for the camera. She was a little nervous at first but then got comfortable with the camera and did all these cute poses. Her photographer was Andrea Watkins. She did a really good job. They turned out AMAZING! She is so photogenic. I love the ones where she has the serious face. Man! I can't pull off the serious face. I always end up looking retarded.

The photos with the trucks turned out awesomely! Those are my favorites.

This one is just gorgeous. Katie looks friggin rad and the green truck just looks so sweet. I am officially jelouse.

Sweet Smell of Summer

Awwww.....The sweet smell of freedom. School has been over for about 2 weeks now and I LOVE it! I feel guilty I have so much free time. I have a list of projects that I've been waiting to do since January.

1) DI all the crap in my spare room and finally decorate it!

2) Refinish my sweet table that April gave me from Bath and Body Works (can you guess which one, the lipgloss table! Its a little gross now but its gonna look friggin sweet when I'm done with it and I've had such good memmories with B&BW so it pretty much one of the best souvineers ever!)

3) Put together a photo album with all of mine and Will's engagements pics and my bridals.

4) Sewing projects gallor and....

5) Cut my hair! AHHHH!!! A little terrifying but I've been planning it since last summer when I didn't have the guts to do it.

Wooo! I'm so excited.

Happy Birthday Will!

Will's birthday was totally a month ago but I finally got some free time to post some pics! For Wills birthday we had breakfast at The Bear Paw with our friends Rob and Stacie. We had to wait for about an hour to get in but it was totally worth it. While we waited we all walked down to the little water park and watched Miles play in the stream. It was a lot of fun :) Thanks for hangin out with us guys!

Will's family was out of town so I got to make him a cake. It turned out really well and I had a blast making it.! Hmm...I wonder how old he turned?

(up close, my pro icing skills! Just kidding. I didn't realize how long it actually took to decorate a cake! Hence, the not very decorative orange border that kinda turned out more of a salmon than orange, but it still tasted great!)

We had a little party for Will at the Warby's which was kinda wierd because the Warby's weren't even home! Thanks for letting us borrow your house for the night. Will had fun hangin with the guys. Jeremy loves the camera as you can see :)

The boys busted out the old original nintendo and played some classic games.

We're full of beans....Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggity dog

For Spring Break weekend Will and I drove up north to visit my sister Karen, Mike, and little Nate. We had so much fun! Karen and I went shopping and we found the cutest shoes and outfits. I hadn't been shopping in forever so I had a blast! We also ate at some awesome restaurants. Carrabas, an italian place that had the best pasta ever, and Jason's Deli.

I love sandwiches and this was the best sandwhich I have ever had! The crossaunt was buttery and flakey and the turkey and ham was devine! The best part was that at the end of our meal they gave us free ice cream cones!

We had a lot of fun playing with Nate-Dog. I would throw pillows at him and he would try and hide from me. Nate also introduced us to the The Mickey Mouse Club House. On our way home, Will and I started singing "We're full of beans....Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggity dog" just like in the show. It's my new fav. song :)

For my cousin Emily's baby shower, I made her a baby blanket. I had so much fun making it, knowing that baby Steele and Emily would have some of their first baby memories with it. (I'm so glad that you love it Emily!)

The monkey and the lion were my favorite.

It turned out super cute and it matched her colors perfectly! I've used the same animal fabric before in another baby blanket I made for my friend Sarah and I loved it so much that I had to use it again.
