SNOWING!!!! In St. George!!!!!

Will and I had a snow ball fight! It was so much fun! It snowed for 3 days off and on. We probably got a total of 1 inch of snow and the funny thing is school was cancelled!

Oh Christmas tree

We decided to buy a small one this year. I absolutely love it! Even more than our first one which was pretty big. The little one’s our so much easier to maintain and its super cute! Thanks for the old ornaments mom and grandma! I love the rocking horses and the apples. It reminds me of Christmas when I was little.

The dust that is!

A lot of Umm’s and What’s?

“I need to register for this math class.” Some random kid says as I look up from my chemistry book. My response, “Ummm…. Right….OK….. Ummmm…. Hmmm…. What was that again?” This is my brain on chemistry and biology. All communication responses in my brain completely shut down when I’m using the left side of my brain. Which is kind of embarrassing because then the kid looks at me like I’m retarded and the school must have felt bad for me so they hired me to drool and look like I’m helping. That’s how I felt anyways. But, I must admit that it was totally worth it to look like an idiot because I scored an A in my Biology and Chemistry! Woot! Very exciting since I must have beat my head against the wall about 50 times stressing over my chemistry and biology, worrying that no school would accept me because I suck at Science. I also found joy in my beginning jazz dance class. I was super worried since I’d never danced before. It was a blast! I had so much fun and I would really like to take another class. I’m thinking about taking a beginning ballet class to strengthen my technique.

I'm the one on the back row in the middle

And....We rocked out!

So, remember how I said that I was not too excited for the Aquabats concert, well....I had a blast! And the best part was that I totally did not expect to have fun. I was a little worried about not having fun on the car ride over to the electric theater and then we rounded the corner. A huge line of about 300 or so people. I gawked at the line comprised of 14 year old poser emo girls, guys who looked like jocks, complete nerds, dudes that actually looked like they knew what music actually was and parents with their 3-4 yr old children. It was an OMG moment, What did I get myself into! 4 year old children were coming! I was going to a concert that this line of people probably had no idea who these Aquabats even were. I mean, they are like 40 year old men who are overweight, right? Well, Im going into too much detail so I'll get to the point.

The crowd went wild for DJ Lance Rock from Yo Gabba Gabba (Its the Aquabats kids show thats on nickalodian). The crowd was kinda like "ok....what is this?" at first. But after a while everyone got into it. There were robots on stage telling us to get our wiggles out and we sang "Theres a party in my tummy, so yummy, so yummy!" Its Yo Gabba Gabba's way of teaching kinds to eat healthy food. Although a little different and wierd, I had a blast gettin back down to my kindergarden roots and rockin out with my abc's and the emo's played along.

I must say that the best part of the show was Suburban Legends who opened the show for the Aquabats. They were Awesome! They put on a show! They had a guy on the trumpet and a guy playing the trombone and the whole thing was coreographed. They danced and sang at the same time. They were unbelievably awesome and they pretty much stole the show!
By the time the Aquabats came on stage it had been 3 hours of rockin already, but (I'm totally an old lady when I say this) my feet really hurt and I was super tired and ready for bed. So, the Aquabats didn't get my full attention but they were good, but Suburban Legends was trully worth my 15 bucks!

End of School Jitters!

Yes!!!! Halla freikin luya! School is finally coming to a close this semester. I'm so excited for finals to be over! Of course I haven't studied for any of my finals yet. My Jazz dance final is on Monday and I'm a little nervouse on how its going to turn out. My teacher is going to be reviewing our performance tape and grading us on how well we do. I saw the dance stage for the first time today. SCARY! The stage pretty much looks like a black tarp of death! I hope I do well and not let my nerves get to me.

Also, Will is taking me to my first concert on friday! I'm excited, but no jumpin outa my pants excited! I'm not the hugest fan of the Aquabats, but Will is litterally counting down the hours till friday so it makes me happy to see him so excited.

Happy Halloween!

At the office we all decided to dress up as villains and super heros for Halloween.  We had so much fun!  This is one of many photos we took.  Jamie was Captain Underpants, I was Robin Hood, TJ was the Grim Reaper and Haylie was a Crazed Doctor.  Ann's costume was pretty awesome! She was Malificent from Sleeping Beauty.  David (my boss) decided that we should all take a break from work and watch halloween movies in the office all day.  I work with such awesome people.  They really do make work fun!

Pictures Will Be Coming!

I have decided to start adding new posts during the day when there is some down time in the office and then add pictures later when I get home! So, if you ever come across boring writing with no pictures, don't worry! Pictures will be posted soon!

Also, I cannot for the life of me figure out how to display my friends blogs on the right hand column of my page? If you know how, please leave me a comment. Any help would be great. Thanks!

The Subway Fairy!

I was looking through some picture files and I came across these pictures of Katie at Subway when I worked there in 2004! Katie would come over and help me clean up fast so I could close the shop early. She would sweap, wipe down counters, and even wash the dishes for me! I don't know what the wings were about. It must've been Halloween or something? I can't believe what an awesome sister I have! She would come so I didn't have to walk out to my car alone. It was super creepy there at night!

How we're doin!

After wracking my brain on doing something cool for one of my first posts I've decided to give up on being a perfectionist and just decided to let everyone know what Will and I are up to right now. Will just got accepted to the Education Program here at Dixie! He is way excited and I am so proud of him. He can't decide on whether to teach 3rd grade or 6th.

For me, I'll finally be getting my associates this December! This semester has been super difficult for me. The time has come where I can't rely on my ability to miraculously get good grades anymore, I have to actually try and put forth the effort :( I've literally been studying my butt off, about 2-3 hours a day. I haven't seen the light of day in like 5 weeks it feels. I am so exhausted. So far I have survived by just the thought having a 3 day vacation (UEA weekend) and I ended up going Will's grandpa's funeral, which took 2 days of my vacation! I have still not recoved from my loss (I hope I don't sound selfish for saying that, but it's the truth). I've decided that History is by far my worst subject. While trying to study for my impossible History test, I watched Will cut out triangles and then past numbers to them for his elemenatry math. I am so jelous! I love my dance class! I'm having so much fun in dance, even though I prob. look silly since I'm not the best. Surprisingly I'm doing the best my Chemistry and Biology class. I have no idea how that happend. I hate science! I probably wont be liking it much next semester.

Sorry there aren't any pics. I still havent figured out how to post pics yet? Hopefully I'll have something a little more interesting to talk about next post. See ya!

Playin Dress Up!

Will and I decided to dress up for the release of the final Harry Potter book at Little Professor Book Store. I dressed up as Ginny Weasly and Will dressed up as Mad Eye Moody. The owners of the store made Will in charge of the mega phone and it was his job to direct the costume contests and other activities and I coached Quiditch. It was so much fun! Sadley, since we participted as leaders, we couldn't win the costume contest. We totally would have won :)!

About Me

Hey! For all of those who don't know me, here's a little sample of THE ALEX. I was born in Las Vegas and lived there for 12 years before I moved to St. George Utah. I was pretty much a wallflower all throughout middle school and high school, but I'm slowing learning how to become a-non-social-retard. Right now I am going to DSC and am working on my Bachelors of Science. I love learning and I can't wait to become Dr. Marshall, the world greatest Optometrist and open my very own business. Last year on April 6, 2007, I married Will Bowen. He's like those guys you read about in fairy tales that no one believes is real in the real world. He's charming, funny, charismatic, creative, handsom, and very polite. He is my best friend in the entire world. He's got an imagination like no other. He loves writing stories and sharing them with me. I just need to get him to write them all down so that we can get rich and greedy! Just kidding. I love any movie, from total sci-fi's to Walt Disney to chick flicks. I love them all! Some of my fav's are Beauty & the Beast, X-Men, Anchorman and Gone With The Wind. My favorite books are Meg Cabot's Mediator series and Harry Potter (who doesn't). Jimmy Eat World is my all time favorite band, Macayo's is still and will forever be my favorite place to eat, and my favorite thing to do is watch decorating shows and pretend that I know style. Oh yeah! and did I mention games? To list a few that I love, Hand and Foot, Kent, Hide and Go Seak (I have no idea why), Settlers of Catan, and the Bucket Game.
