Ghosts of Halloween's Past

So here's my sad sob story. I had these huge plans for my costume and I was so busy with school that I didn't have time to finish it :( And on top of that, our plans for Halloween fun kinda fell through. Next year will be better, at least it better be! Will and I have decided to throw our own Halloween Party so everyone reading this better be coming!!!! We've already started brain storming for next years fun. So, since you weren't able to see my sweet-awesome costume this year, you'll have to settle for my old costumes. Enjoy!

Me as an evil Witch! Karen and Kelly as Swedish people, and Katie as an angry clown!

This one isn't halloween, but I lovvved dressing up as a kid. That day I decided to dress up as a Russian doll. You know one of those dolls that open up and theres a smaller version of itself inside. I loved playing with those dolls. I'm totally gonna dress up as a Russian Doll next year!

Ah, the hideous teens. I was a bananna that year. That was a fun costume but really hard to walk in, especially if your racing for candy!

The trying to be cute faze of teens. I remember being soo excited for this costume. I had glitter in my hair and everything!

Oh! Who is the adorable bunny? It's me! Kelly was little red ridinghood and Karen was a granny. Haha! Maybe I'll be a granny next year. What makes Karen's costume even better is that she is missing a tooth in front, like a little old lady missing teeth! Haha!

This clown costume was the BEST! It had these huge pockets on the sides to stuff candy in. No need for a candy bag!

I still love cupcakes!

Me as Ragety Ann and Karen as a Cheerleader.

My latest projects

Over Summer break I did a whole bunch of projects that I never got a chance to post, so here they are! Of course there is a pile still in my corner of unfinished projects and projects that I just gave up on but, those will have to wait till next summer :( Ugg... I miss my project fun! If anyone else has some fun project ideas let me know! I'm getting bored of school.

I made this mug for my dad for Father's Day. He can never find a mug that has a wide enough lip to dip toast in his Hot Chocolate so this was perfect! And I painted this cool argile print on one side that I am most proud of! He loves it and uses it often.

Anyone recognize this table? Yes, its the ghetto lip gloss table from B&BW! I am so glad April saved this table from being dumpsterd. I love it and it makes the perfect craft and homework table. It was pretty nastified so I scraped off the old gum on the bottom and sanded down the whole thing.

The finished look! I painted it black and I love it!

For Aprils baby shower I made her this cute picture frame. Her colors were pink and brown and her theme was elephants so I quilted this little felt elephant. Then I added little pink knobs so that she could hang stuff from them. I turned out just how I had imagined it! Yay for sucessful ideas!

The Tricksters of Halloween!

Ahhh!!! I love halloween. When I'm 80 years old I'll still be dressing up for Halloween. It's one of my favorite holidays. I have some of the best memories dressing up a kid and going out and getting pillow cases full of candy and then at the end of the night, dumping at all out and sorting it, counting it, and putting each candy in its own catagory...wierd, but who hasn't done that! My Trick-or-Treat record is 1 3/4 pillow cases. I'm pretty proud of that. So what better way to celebrate Halloween than hangin out with some new Tricksters of this generation!

My nephew Jackson was Peter Pan. He loveeed his costume and he was so proud of it. My sister Kelly made his cute little costume. She did an awesome job.

My sister Kelly (as a mean hideously beautiful witch), Little Sam (as a puppy), and me (as nothing :(. I know! I'm still a little depressed that I didn't get dressed up. That's a later story)

Jake as his own twin.

This house was soooo cool! The picture is not very good, but there was a house set up down the street from my sisters that was all decked out like a haunted house. The kids had to go through in order to get their candy. So fun. Yep, I'm totally going to do that once I have my own house. I want to be the coolest house on the block that all the kids run to!

Craft Night!

Ok, so this is way late, along with all of my other latest posts. I've been crazy busy with stupid tests and homework. I just got to keep telling myself that it will all be worth it someday. You know, the killing of my brains after math tests have been pelting at it for more than 15 years strait in exchange for a good job and good money.... *sigh*... someday. So my brain needed a little vacation from all the analytical crap and Halleluya!! My friends Staci and Steph came to rescue and invited me to a fun craft night! I haven't had a craft night in about a year so it was fun getting my creative juices flowing.

The girls were both planning on going to WITCHAPALOOZA. From what I've heard it's a little village that gets all decked out in halloween decorations and everyone dresses like witches and there are prizes and contests and fun stuff like that! And you have to make your own witch hat...It's pretty much a requirement if you want to be cool :) I didn't get to go, but I will be going next year! So I made a witch hat anyways and I wore it to work on Friday the 30th.

I added lace to the brim of my hat. It's my favorite!

Lagoon

Over the Summer Will and I went to Lagoon with my family. We had a blast! It was the perfect day to go because it would sprinkle rain every other hour so we all stayed pretty cool. Will has only gone to Lagoon once before when he was younger so there were a lot of new rides for him to try out. Example: Wicked!!! This ride drops you at an almost 90 degree angle so you think your gonna die but you dont, you just peed your pants a little.

Karen, Mom, Mike, Tyler and Katie just getting off Wicked!

Will is getting ready to go on the Collosus. A classic.

Will didn't go on the Samuri. He refused. The Samuri is one of my favorites, as long as you get an end seat. Oh Yeah!

We ate lunch and dinner in the park. My mom made this yummy greek spinach and pasta salad. That's what's great about Lagoon. Just bring a cooler stuffed with food and snacks and a blanket and you don't have to worry about anyone stealing your stuff.

Me and Will riding on the skii lift to other side of the park. Another classic of Lagoon.

Karen and Mike

Another classic of Lagoon is the super cheesy haunted house. I don't know why, but the haunted house has always smelled like burnt cotten candy that permiates the Lagoon entrance. I remeber that smell as a kid and have always looked forward to it when I go again. I can see the terror in Will's face!

Who doesn't love riding on the ship! Another childhood favorite!

Sammy and Jackson going on one last kiddie ride before the park closes. They had a blast! They loved every single ride and didn't cry once. Boys are so awesome. They are made for adventure!

My all time favorite is the Rocket: Re-entry. This ride gives me butterfly’s just thinking about it! I went on this one 3 times. The Re-entry slowly pulls you up to the top of its 217 foot tower and when you least expect it, it drops you! Oh Yeah!

Katie and Tyler getting ready to go on my favorite ride

We all had so much fun. I can't wait to go on another fun trip with my family. I would have to say that my favorite memory is when Katie, Tyler, Kelly, Will, and I went on Raddle Snake Rappids. This is a water ride which means your gonna get wet but we didn't think we were gonna get that wet so we went for it. The entire time we all tried not to get wet. Katie, Kelly, and I were screaming and Tyler and Will were laughing like crazy! We were all standing up on the ride trying to not get wet and tried to avoid the waterfalls. We were all dripping wet head to toe by the end of the ride. Best memory ever! I wish we had a picture.

These are a few of my favorite things!

As I am loving my summer free of school I've decided to make a list of all of my favorites so far:

1. Reading fun books with Will (we read aloud to each other. Yes we are dorks :) ) Right now we are reading the Fablehaven series and we are loving it!

2. Having picnics in the huge field neer the library

3. Summer movies! We've seen Star Trek and just last night THE TERMINATOR. Oh my they were so good! Im still freiking out a little about Terminator. It was awesome. I did enjoy Star Trek too which I am a little surprised. It had a really good story and it was a very pretty film (picture wise), but maybe thats because we were sitting about 12 inches from the screen! We showed up late so we got the crapy seats on the front row. But I loved it and I would totally see both again! My new favorite actor is Anton Yelchin. He was in both Terminator and Star Trek. He's a little nerdy but he's a great actor.

4. Fun projects! I love being creative. Right now I'm working on a project for April's baby shower. I'm really excited about it and I'll post pics once I give it to April. It has to be a surprise and she might see it on my blog!

5. Games. What can I say, I just love em. Yesterday we played Hand and Foot with Katie and Tyler and Will and I totally killed them! It was Tylers first time playing it so I'll give em a rematch. I'm a sucker for games.

6. Smoothies in the summer, especially the ones from Inta-Juice. Yum...my mouth waters for them

7. Sandwiches. I love sandwiches. Woo for Tom's Deli!

8. Warm summer nights

9. And the top favorite thing of mine is.....No Homework! YAY!

Graduating 2009

My sister KATIE is graduating this year from Desert Hills High. Its crazy that she's graduating, it feels like I just graduated a year ago! She invited me to go with her to get her Senior Pictures done and I'm so glad that I got to go. It was so much fun! It was fun to watch Katie posing for the camera. She was a little nervous at first but then got comfortable with the camera and did all these cute poses. Her photographer was Andrea Watkins. She did a really good job. They turned out AMAZING! She is so photogenic. I love the ones where she has the serious face. Man! I can't pull off the serious face. I always end up looking retarded.

The photos with the trucks turned out awesomely! Those are my favorites.

This one is just gorgeous. Katie looks friggin rad and the green truck just looks so sweet. I am officially jelouse.
